Argyll & Bute gets smallest budget rise in Scotland

The Scottish Government have given Argyll & Bute Council the smallest budget increase in Scotland. Since all Councils face rising costs, this means service cuts, job losses and a big Council Tax increase.
Alan Reid has called on the Scottish Government to give Argyll & Bute Council a fair budget increase to allow it to pay the increasing costs it is faced with.
Alan says, “Instead of treating Argyll & Bute worse than every other Council in Scotland, the SNP Government should give the Council its fair share of Scotland’s Budget. Otherwise local people will be faced with a double whammy of a Council Tax increase and cuts in services.”
